Ver publicación enlazadaI can't give any Pros about working for Amey! Worked for Amey grounds for 8 years. Hardly any training to help people progress. Ask for training or a payrise you get told no every time. Bad management who don't have a clue about the job your doing but seem to know best. Never had a Christmas party provided for the lads on the ground doing the graft, but the people in the office and other departments of Amey have a Christmas party provided. Work hard all year with no thanks or appreciation! Seen so many faces come and go in 8 years, when people leave they are not replaced for months at a time leaving us understaffed. Salary low, pay rises take over 6 months to process and are not backdated. Training and investment in staff low. Ver publicación enlazadaMy interview was very informal the interviewer was courteous and friendly. The training was good and the coworkers were friendly and easy to get along with. I can't speak for all of Amey, of course, but just for the department I was in. Colleagues would complain of work being monotonous and a main gripe would be the salary. The wage issue was churned out on a weekly occurance. Additionally, there was not enough support to go around. If someone was off for a day or so, you'd have to pick up their work in addition to yours. This was a bit more tricky than it seems as you'd have no instant back story to a job which has suddenly been sprung up on you and you'd more than likely have to sift through endless emails of the colleague or ask someone else if they know anything about it (with the latter possibly not being able to provide info as the job is not within their area). Lastly, I would hear about past members of staff leaving for various reasons. In the past few months before I started, I'd say four to five colleagues have left? This was all from a small team of less than ten. Not a good sign when there's a constant turnover of staff. This is made even worse when the coworkers I worked with are thinking of looking outwith the company for other opportunities because of the routine work/lack of career progression/poor salary/too long a commute etc. Fuente: Glassdoor Job Reviews, David Gauthier, Kaggle. Ver publicación enlazadaRecognition when you push yourself to the forefront. The ability for those on the ground to communicate with their peers all all levels. Various things to get involved in that has somebody taking part from every level. Career development and progression visible and easy to follow. I have been involved in numerous things over the past few years, presenting to directors,group activities up and down the country, conference calls, Filming a recruitment video. Also am a Contract Improvement Group Representative and Champion across the business, along with being an Employee Champion, these are groups that look to improve everything we do and spread corporate information. I am just a normal person working on the ground daily and have seized the opportunity to be involved, which is a great pleasure. To be honest I have not come across any personally in my time so far, if you feel that when you have a concern it is actually listened to and something is done.
